This commendation came on Sunday when the group hosted Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), gubernatorial candidate in a virtual meeting to discuss his Agenda for the people of Anambra State.

The introduction of moderators for the event was undertaken by Dr Michael Chukwujekwu while a brief preamble of the activities of the Diasporans was brilliantly delivered by Chief Patrick Okpala (Obisaambala) with additional support from Mr Chike Nzekwe and Okey Emeronye.

Ernest Ezeajughi, Director-General on Diasporan Affairs and outreach campaign later ushered in Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo to present his agenda for Anambra State to the world audience.

Cee Cee Soludo thanked his host and commended them for their unflinching support.

He told the Diasporans that he will run an open and transparent government and every kobo received and spent will be accounted for.

He added that his major goal is to build a livable and prosperous homeland in Anambra for all, where the world can come to live, invest, work, learn and enjoy.

Cee Cee also promised to be a servant-leader Governor, who will serve the people of Anambra selflessly and dutifully.

He further said his government will patronize only made in Anambra products and services. His official vehicle as Governor and all government employees’ official vehicles, he said, will be made in Anambra.

He equally promised to be the chief marketing officer of every product made in Anambra State.

The former CBN Governor also promised to revamp the moribund textile industry in Anambra state and promote made in Anambra textile materials.

He told his audience that is why he currently adorns the ‘Akwuete’ cloth as a statement of his intention to promote locally made wears.

He also said Anambra will be made the ‘digital tribe’ in Nigeria as well as the Industrial hub of economic prosperity. He said his administration will grow the trade and commerce majorly engaged in by the people from importing to an exporting business economy.

He further added that Anambra will equally be transformed into the largest entertainment and leisure resort in Africa where the world can visit for leisure and vacation.

On the issue of job creation, Cee Cee Soludo promised to create 130,000 private sector led jobs annually as well as 1000 youth millionaires every year.

He identified the existential threats of erosion and flooding in the state and promised to tackle it headlong and other natural disasters plaguing the state.

Concluding, he said, education will be digitally compliance for Ndi Anambra youths so that they will be competitive in the emerging digital world.

Health, environment, roads, security and other critical sectors, Soludo said, will be given top priority.

Audience who were online from UK, Canada, South Africa, Hong Kong were given the opportunity to ask questions which Soludo brilliantly answered.

The vote of thanks was given by Prince Neville Uchendu, (Mayor of Atlanta), and Deputy Director- General Diaspora Campaign and outreach Affairs of the group!
