President Tinubu has put forward two individuals for commissioner roles within the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC): Mr. Abubakar Yusuf, who is nominated for Commissioner of Consumer Affairs, and Dr. Fouad Olayinka Animashun, who is nominated for Commissioner of Finance and Management Services.
According to rhe Presidet, the decision was to prevent a leadership gap at NERC, President Tinubu has instructed Engr Ramat to take on the role in an acting capacity as Chairman/CEO until the Senate completes its screening process, as required by law.
Although, all nominations are subject to Senate confirmation.
