The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced Saturday, June 28, 2025, as the date for a mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, for 96,838 candidates.

In a statement by the Board’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the affected candidates are expected to begin printing their examination notification slips from Monday, June 23.
JAMB also discloses that it has suspended 113 Computer Based Test, CBT, centres across the country due to various infractions observed during the 2025 UTME exercise.
As part of ongoing investigations, some examination towns have also been disqualified from hosting the mop-up exam. Candidates initially scheduled to write their exams in those towns will be reassigned to nearby centres.
The Board notes that the mop-up examination presents an opportunity to further identify and prosecute impersonators, including some undergraduates who write the UTME on behalf of others.
The first session of the examination will commence at 8:00 a.m., and candidates scheduled for this time are strongly advised to arrive at their centres at least one to one and a half hours before the commencement.
Meanwhile, JAMB has expressed appreciation to security agencies for their collaboration in a nationwide investigation into identity theft and other forms of examination malpractice an
effort that has already resulted in several arrests and ongoing prosecutions.
