According to Punch Newspaper, Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to justice, the rule of law, and the protection of citizens’ rights. Speaking at an official event in Port Harcourt, Fubara emphasized that genuine governance is grounded in fairness, equality, and legal accountability. He stated that every resident of Rivers State, regardless of social or political standing, must be treated equally under the law.

 

The governor’s comments come amid rising political tensions and efforts by some factions to challenge his administration. Despite this, Fubara maintained that his government would remain focused on building a just and inclusive state, where no one is above the law and where institutions operate with transparency. He made it clear that public officials or government agencies that act outside the law would face consequences, stressing that his administration is not a dictatorship but a democratic government committed to serving the people.
