Report has just shown that people in hundreds who are supporters of the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has decided to take their plight to the streets of Rivers state on Tuesday in a peaceful protest, to plead with President Tinubu to reinstatement the elected Governor as he is the people’s choice.

 

This sight of them in black with placards written, “Together we stand for Governor Sim Fubara”, “We want back our Governor, we all voted for”, Governor Fubara is the pride of Rivers People”, the protesters kicked off the march from Aggrey road, Old Port Harcourt Township.

However, it is regarded as the latest in a series of anti and pro-protests that have rocked the state since March 18, when President Bola Tinubu declared a State of Emergency in the state and suspended Fubara, his deputy, Ngozi Odu, and members of the state’s House of Assembly.
