PLATEAU KILLINGS: IGP ORDERS IMMEDIATE DEPLOYMENT OF ASSETS, TACTICAL SQUADS

In response to the renewed wave of attacks in parts of Plateau State, the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered an immediate deployment of police tactical assets to the affected areas.

In a statement, the IGP mandated the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Operations, DIG Kwazhi Dali Yakubu, to lead the coordinated response. The deployment includes elite tactical squads, surveillance drones, APCs, helicopters, and Special Intervention Squad (SIS) operatives.

The assets will support targeted operations in Bokkos LGA and nearby communities, which have suffered recurring attacks and significant loss of lives. This move reflects the Nigeria Police Force’s unwavering commitment to restoring peace, securing lives and property, and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
