
The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board recently celebrated the appointment of Dr. Gbolabo Omoniyi Okudero as the new Board Secretary.
During the handover ceremony, the outgoing Secretary, Mrs. Florence Yetunde Gbafe, reflected on her rewarding eight-year tenure, expressing gratitude for her time with the board. She spoke highly of Dr. Okudero, emphasing his strong Christian values and professional integrity.

In his remarks, Dr. Okudero assured all members of staff of his commitment to continuing the Board’s legacy of service and excellence. He emphasised teamwork and unity within the Agency and sought the support of the workforce to ensure the continuity of the outstanding work established by Mrs. Gbafe.
The staff members of the Board warmly welcomed Dr. Okudero to the family while wishing him a successful tenure. They also praised the outgoing Board Secretary, Mrs. Florence Gbafe, for her immense contributions to the progress of the Agency, praying for her success in all future endeavours.
Dr. Okudero brings extensive experience to the role, having worked in the Civil Service since 1999. Before his appointment, he served as the Director of Administration and Human Resources at Lagos State Health District VI.
He holds a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from Lagos State University, as well as a certification in Human Resource Management from Cornell University, USA.
Dr. Okudero is happily married with children.
