LASG INAUGURATES 2024/25 YOUTH AMBASSADORS

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has inaugurated 2024/25 Youth Ambassadors at the State House, Alausa, today.

At the ceremony, Governor Sanwo-Olu unveiled Obadare Adenekan as the State Youth Ambassador; Faizah Adediran, Ikeja Divisional Ambassador; Bukola Aladesulu, Badagry Divisional Ambassador; Dolapo Oshikoya, Ikorodu Divisional Ambassador; Mohammed Sheriff, Lagos Divisional Ambassador, and Divine Favour Apata, Epe Divisional Ambassador.

 

 

 

The Governor, in his remarks, reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering dedication to creating opportunities for young people, stressing that the newly inaugurated Ambassadors are positioned to play a crucial role in advocating for youth-related policies, driving social change and promoting inclusivity across all sectors.

 

Mr. Sanwo-Olu highlighted the significance of youth engagement in governance, ensuring that young people are not just beneficiaries of policies but active contributors to the development of the State.

 

In his remarks, the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende commended the new Ambassadors for their dedication to service, urging them to uphold values of leadership, integrity and excellence as they embarked on their roles.

On her part, the Permanent Secretary, Pharm. (Mrs.) Toyin Oke-Osanyintolu said, “These young leaders have been entrusted with the responsibility of driving youth-led initiatives, fostering innovation and ensuring that the voices of Lagos youths are heard in governance and community development.”

 

The event was attended by officials of the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, members of the Lagos State Youth Parliament, members of the Nigerian Youth Parliament and the Lagos State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria.
