Governor Abayomi Oyebanji of Ekiti, a man known for his dedication to development and transparency, made it to Anambra, a visit that held promise for collaboration and mutual growth

He visited his counterpart, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State, who is well known as Mr. Infrastructure, having commenced, completed, and is currently embarking on many audacious infrastructural projects across the length and breath of the state.

As Governor Oyebanji stepped out of his convoy at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, the air was alive with anticipation and was warmly received. With a warm smile and a firm handshake, Governor Soludo welcomed him, expressing gratitude for the visit and the solidarity between their states.

“Welcome to Anambra, Governor! We’re proud to have you here,” Soludo said, his voice beaming with enthusiasm. “I hope to share our journey with you and explore opportunities for partnership.”

The two governors thereafter embarked on their tour of the new government house and Governor’s Lodge, a stunning architectural marvel that blended modern design with traditional Igbo motifs. As they drove through the expansive roads, Oyebanji couldn’t help but admire the thought infused into every corner.

Governor Soludo’s attention to detail is impressive. It is not just a government house but a testament to Anambra’s rich history and aspirations for the future.

Governor Soludo agrees that infrastructure is vital for progress. The building represents his administration’s commitment to transparency and efficiency in governance

The two governors continued their movement from Awka through various towns and communities, to Umuike Umuohama, Ukpor in Nnewi South local government area, to console the Igweka family over the loss of their matriach, late Mrs Roseline Igweka who died at age eighty nine years.

Ukpor bubbled with activities as people from all walks of life thronged the venue of the burial in the show of solidarity. Thousands of dignitaries were hosted in a very safe Ukpor.

Leaving Ukpor, they strolled and drove through the beautifully blessed community. The vibrant flora reflected the dreams of a people eager for progress. The narrative was not just about the funeral event but the socio-economic upliftment that followed.

As Governor Oyebanji made to leave, one thing was clear to him; “Soludo has amazingly transformed Anambra state in less than three years in office.

“I recall my experience in Anambra six years ago, but today, notable transformations can be seen. Anambra is blessed to have Soludo as governor.

“All the communities in Anambra are built up and witnessing visible changes and transformations. In fact, there is no village in Anambra anymore.

“Governor Soludo is a rallying point to most of us. I congratulate the governor for the new government house and Governor’s lodge, as well as other infrastructure projects he is embarking on, “he added.

As the day’s light began to dim, Oyebanji prepared to depart. “Thank you for your warmth and hospitality, Governor Soludo.

Moving away, Governor Oyebanji felt a renewed sense of purpose. In a world often clouded by division, his visit to Anambra illuminated a path toward unity and development, where progress could be shared, and dreams turned into reality. The road ahead was bright, and in partnership, both states would definitely flourish.
