Following the outcome of the Edo state Gubernatorial election in one of the local government, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Asue Ighodalo has secured victory in the first announced local government area, Igueben, as INEC begins collating results for the Edo State governorship election.
However, PDP polled 8,470 votes against the All Progressives Congress (APC) which garnered 5,907 votes. The Labour Party trailed with 494 votes though announcement of results are still ongoing.
