International Breweries PLC has announced the appointment of Temitope Margaret Oguntokun as an Executive Director and confirmed Dr. (Mrs.) Marian Reginald-Ukwuoma as the Company Secretary/Legal Counsel.
Both appointments were approved by the Board of Directors during its meeting on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, according to a notice to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), its shareholders, and the general public
The company, a member of AB InBev Group, the largest global beer maker, also disclosed that Mr. Richard Rivett-Carnac has resigned from the Board of IB PLC following his appointment as the Business Unit President of South African Breweries (AB InBev).
Temitope Margaret Oguntokun will serve as the Corporate Affairs and Regulatory Director of IBPLC. She is a business leader with a distinguished career spanning over two decades.
Her professional journey is marked by multifaceted expertise in various disciplines, including Corporate Affairs, Journalism, Sustainability, Reputation Management, Government Relations / Policy Advocacy, Strategic Communications, Marketing Communications, and Change Management.
Temitope is recognized for her remarkable stakeholder management skills, which she has employed in strategic advisory roles benefiting Boards, CEOs, Directors, cross-functional teams, government entities, communities, and other senior stakeholders. Her strategic projects have made significant contributions to businesses, simultaneously fostering positive impacts on society.
Mrs. Oguntokun holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communications, Media, and Public Relations from the University of Leicester (UK); a Post-Graduate Diploma (PDG) in Communication Studies from Lagos State University. She also possesses both Ordinary National Diploma and Higher National Diplomas in Mass Communication from The Polytechnic Ibadan. She is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a Fellow and Executive Council Member of the Sustainability Professionals Institute of Nigeria (SPIN), and a Member of the International Associations of Business Communicators (IABC).
Dr. (Mrs.) Marian Reginald-Ukwuoma brings to the role about two decades of extensive corporate experience in regulatory and compliance management, human resources management, corporate governance and strategy, company secretariat and legal advisory services, stakeholder management and community engagement, Marian also has expertise as a service culture trainer and advocate for agile mindset.
With adept skill, she efficiently managed the Board of IBPLC’s merged entity – former Pabod Breweries Limited for seven years as Company Secretary and Legal Adviser.
Following IBPLC’s merger, she was appointed as the Legal and Compliance Counsel, for the South-East and South-South Region; she later served as the Corporate Affairs Manager for the company’s Port Harcourt Plant, where she was promoted to the position of the Country Corporate Affairs Lead of the Company.
Marian Reginald-Ukwuoma possesses a Doctorate (PhD) degree in Comparative Company Law and Industrial Relations. Additionally, she has earned a master’s degree (LL.M) in Comparative Company Law and Industrial Relations, both from the Rivers State University. She is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, as well as an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators.
