78th UNGA: See Moment Mrs Otti Joins First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu To Participate In Inaugural NEGTS 2023
The first lady of Abia state, Pricillia Otti has recently joined the First Lady of Nigeria, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu in attending the inaugural “Nigeria Economic Growth and Trade Summit 2023,” held concurrently with the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
In her statement she remarked that the event was led by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and I was joined by fellow members of the Nigerian Governors’ Wives Forum. The summit’s primary focus was addressing the root causes of migration, particularly the lack of basic needs and social amenities in Nigeria, which has driven many talented individuals abroad in search of better opportunities. This migration has resulted in a brain drain, depriving Nigeria of its most skilled citizens and hampering its global competitiveness.
“Furthermore, this summit aimed to foster international cooperation and recognize the significant role that first ladies play in advancing global peace, economic growth, and diplomacy. In addition to these vital responsibilities, first ladies often serve as advocates for social and healthcare initiatives, championing causes such as education, healthcare access, and women’s rights.”
