The Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC) has solicited the support of Lagos Traffic Radio ahead of its 30th anniversary and the launch of some iconic projects/initiatives as part of activities to mark the occasion.
Director-General of PSSDC, Adekunmilola Adio-Moses revealed this during a courtesy call on the Management of Lagos Traffic Radio, saying that the Station is strategic in terms of sharing information with its listeners and in an impactful manner.
Adio-Moses said the event, which is scheduled for Friday, 4th of October, 2024 will be graced by the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The Director-General added that the event will include the launch of several iconic projects including a digital studio, book and the upgraded Lagos State Learning Platform tagged: “Eko Learn”, among others.
Adio-Moses stated that plans are also underway to revamp the Induction Course for newly employed members of staff and those transferring their service to the Lagos State Civil Service, as well as the commencement of a Language Class to encourage people, especially civil servants to learn global languages like Yoruba, French and Mandarin.
He also noted that the PSSDC would provide counselling services to those who need discreet and professional advisers on pressing issues while also revealing that a new Directorate would be created on Gender-related issues.
To improve learning, public speaking and leadership skills, Adio-Moses said the PSSDC created the ToastMasters Club to help develop Public Servants on how to speak on contemporary issues constructively.
In his response, the General Manager, Lagos Traffic Radio, Tayo Akanle, who congratulated the PSSDC on its anniversary, emphasised the essence of the induction course for Public servants.
Akanle noted that Traffic Radio has a Booster Station project to expand its reach as it currently has about Two million listeners on its terrestrial platform and more online.
He commended the Director-General for making an impact on the development of the Agency and charged him with more developmental strides.
