Cee Cee Soludo, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), gubernatorial candidate for the November 6 Anambra governorship election was received on arrival at the Lagos Airport in a carnival-like fashion by excited Ndi Anambra based in Lagos.

At the town hall meeting with Ndi Anambra, Cee Cee Soludo was formally welcomed by Hon. Chinedu Nwoye (Glamour), chairman of All Soludo Support Group (ASSG) and Hon Thankgod Ibe, a former aspirant and Lagos State APGA chairman.

Cee Cee Soludo thanked his host and all the Ndi Anambra present at the occasion for their warm reception. He thereafter went ahead to unfold the summary of his plan for the people of Anambra State as contained in his manifesto.

He told the audience that his ultimate goal is to build a livable and prosperous homeland in Anambra State for all.

“A journey of a thousand mile must begin with one step. Our ultimate goal is to build a livable and prosperous homeland in Anambra. That is why I am running for the post of Governor,” Soludo said.

He described APGA as a unique party, saying it signifies the rebirth of Ndigbo which every Igbo man must identify with.

Speaking generally about the industrious and entrepreneurial spirit of Ndi Anambra, Soludo lamented that about 70 percent of the productive capital of Anambra is outside the state. He harped on the need to reverse this trend so that Ndi Anambra can come home and invest in the state.

He said towards achieving this goal, incentives as well as creating the right business environment will be put in place to attract both local and foreign investors to the state.

He also promised to create about 130,000 private sector led jobs every year as well as 1000 youth millionaires annually. He said Anambra will become the “digital tribe” in Nigeria with readily and almost free Internet connectivity where every sector in the state’s economy including commerce and trading will benefit.

Education, he said, will receive a further boost with ‘digitally compliance’ learning system. Affordable and accessible health system will equally be put in place.

Soludo promised that his government will patronize products made in Anambra including his official vehicle as Governor of the state.

“I will be the chief marketing officer of every product made in Anambra,” Soludo further assured.

He promised to also revamped the dying textile industry in the state, adding that is why he is making a bold statement to that effect with the locally made “Akwuete cloth” he adorns frequently now.

Soludo also spoke about the existential threats of erosion which led to his visit to Achina and Oko for an on the spot assessments of the menace. He promised to tackle this natural menace headlong.

He also promised to tackle the issue of electricity to boost industrial estates in Anambra State. Other business bottlenecks like multiple taxations and extortions by government agencies, he said, will be fully addressed.

He commended Governor Willie Obiano for putting in place solid infrastructural development which he ptomised to build on.

He therefore called on Ndi Anambra to come out on election day to vote APGA and the Soludo/Ibezim ticket for continuity.

Also speaking at the event, Senator Victor Umeh (Ohamadike), former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and former APGA National Chairman, eulogized Soludo as the best candidate for the job and called on the people of Anambra to come out enmasse on November 6, 2021 to vote for Soludo/Ibezim ticket.
