OBIANO, SOLUDO, UMEH ATTEND FUNERAL MASS OF LATE PAUL IZUADIMMA OKOYE

The All Progressives Grand Alliance gubernatorial candidate, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo early this morning Thursday, September 31, 2021 joined Governor Willie Obiano and Senator Victor Umeh at the St Andrew’s Catholic Church, Adazi-Nnukwu for the funeral Mass of late Mr Paul Izuadimma, younger brother of Bishop Jonas Benson Okoye, Auxiliary Bishop of Awka Diocese.

Bishop Ebele Okpalaeke, Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, who delivered the homily eulogized the deceased for living a worthy life while on this part of the planet. He called on the people of Anambra State to renounce violence and embrace peace. He also enjoined the congregation to pray for free and fair election as we gradually move closer to the November 6 governorship election in the State.

While making his brief remark, Governor Willie Obiano condole with the family of the deceased and Bishop Jonas Benson Okoye, Auxiliary Bishop of Awka Diocese, who is the elder brother of the deceased.

Obiano used the occasion to reflect on the security situation in the state. He condemned the killings of innocent citizens of the State adding that the death of Dr Chike Akunyili has made the State to re-strategize on the security architecture within the state.

He acknowledged the presence of Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, APGA gubernatorial candidate in the auditorium. He added that Soludo is a man he will be very glad to handover to as the next governor of the state to consolidate on the achievements of his government.

Bishop Jonas Benson Okoye while giving the vote of thanks, commended Governor Willie Obiano for his support for the church and his stellar performance as Governor of Anambra.

He appreciated the presence of Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, Senator Victor Umeh, Hon Dozie Ferdinand Nwankwo and everyone present at the occasion.
