SOLUDO PARLEYS WITH GOVT POLITICAL APPOINTEES, SAYS APGA REPRESENTS THE  INDOMITABLE SPIRIT OF THE IGBO MAN

Less than two months to Anambra governorship election, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, the All Progressives Grand Alliance candidate has told a gathering of government political appointees that APGA as a political party represents the indomitable spirit of the Igbo man.

Cee Cee Soludo was speaking during an interactive session with Anambra government political appointees as a build up to the gubernatorial election billed to hold on November 6, 2021.

Cee Cee Soludo told the appointees that they are part of the stakeholders in keeping power within a political party. He further described them as soldiers that fight in the battle front imbued with the strong character of winning battles.

He reminded the appointees that the battle for the soul of the state is for the sake of the children and the generations yet unborn which must not be left in the hands of those planning to take it by force.

The former CBN Governor reiterated again that APGA remains the political platform for Ndigbo adding that in the coming week he will unveil his manifesto and the vision for the good people of Anambra State.

He gave a brief background of his career as an itinerant consultant consulting for over 20 financial and developmental institutions across the globe and visiting over 45 countries.

He also recounted his experience as Chief Economic Adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo and later Chief Executive Officer, National Planning Commission before being made the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

He said the banking consolidation exercise created 12.8 million jobs and also stabilized the nation’s banking sector describing it as a feat that have Nigerian banks global players today.

He urged the appointees to go to their various wards and communities to deliver their polling booths to APGA at the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.

Hon (Sir) Ifeatu Obi-okoye, Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Governor of Anambra State, who spoke at the occasion, told the appointees what APGA has done was to present the best candidate for the governorship election in the person of Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo. He took a swipe at the opposition saying they are not talking about their agenda for the people of Anambra State but only interested on how to run Soludo down.

He further added that governance today in Nigeria requires the likes of Prof Soludo who have the requisite knowledge and training in economic management.

He therefore urged the appointees to go back to their various communities and deliver their wards to APGA come November 6, 2021.

Hon Chinedu Obidigwe, member Representibg Anambra East and West Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, also called on the appointees to remain committed and dedicated to APGA and work assiduously towards delivering the party at their various polling booths come November 6, 2021.

Other dignitaries at the event include: Lady (Dr) Uju Okeke, former Commissioner of Education in Anambra State: Hon Emeka Sibedu, former Deputy Governor, Anambra State among others.
