More established and upcoming authors from the African continent and around the globe have continued to register their books for the “Outstanding Book Prize” (also known as the ‘Books Olympics’) which is one of the major star attraction at the International Association of African Authors and Scholars (IAAAS), Books and Leadership Summit billed to hold in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America, between November 5 -7, 2021.

Prof Chinedum Igwe the United States based Nigerian Scholar and Executive Director of IAAAS said the interest and desire shown by African authors to register to compete at the year’s “Outstanding Book Prize” was quite commendable.

Prof Igwe stated that IAAAS as an international organisation with headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America has remained a non-profit organisation desirous in projecting and promoting both the established and upcoming authors through publishing, sales and book fair.

Towards achieving these goals, Prof Igwe said IAAAS has also provided a veritable platform for authors to interact, network and discuss issues of common interest in regards to their passion and achievements which could further help in the advancement of their writing skills and proficiency for individual development and nation-building.

The erudite Professor also stated that aside from his organisation projecting and promoting authors’ works, it also encourages people to read at all times. Prof Igwe quoted Troy Colston, a registered nurse assertion that ” an author is only useful if people read, otherwise knowledge dies with the author.”

The white bearded Professor Igwe hinted that authors are therefore invited to join IAAAS after payment of a token annual membership registration fee which automatically qualifies them to be included on the organisation’s secure database and to receive express invitation to attend and participate at the annual ‘Books Olympics’ and will also be eligible to list their books for sale on IAAAS open-source e-commerce online bookstore:

According to Prof Igwe, this year Summit will run between November 5 – 7, 2021 and it will feature other events, such as the “Africa Ambassadors Forum” and Fundraising for the proposed Africa International Leadership Institute to be sited in Nigeria.

The event will hold at the  Courtyard & Fairfield Suites, 895, Bob Arnold Boulevard,  Lithia Springs, GA 30122, USA.
